- Choose your animal and give it a name
- Create the personalised certificate as a PDF
You can print it out or give it as a digital gift (e.g. by email or WhatsApp). The recipient then creates an account on aninu.de, scans the QR code on the certificate — and has the animal permanently in their profile under 'My Animals'.
Yes! You can print it or pass it on digitally. The recipient scans the QR code and takes the animal into their own account. After that, it is permanently assigned to that profile.

You can create your certificate at any time — there is no expiry date. As long as you have your order number, you can create it weeks or months after purchase.
No, you receive the certificate exclusively as a digital PDF. After creation, you can print it yourself or pass it on digitally.
Animal Tracking
Tracking wildlife serves several important purposes:
- Research & Science — Better understanding migration patterns, habitats and behaviour
- Species protection — Monitoring endangered species, preventing poaching
- Ecosystem management — Keeping track of the health and balance of habitats
- Conflict prevention — Early warning in areas where humans and wildlife meet
- Population monitoring — Tracking the size and condition of animal populations
Animals are tracked via GPS transmitters attached by our conservation partners. The transmitters send signals to satellites in orbit, which are then relayed to receivers on earth. It neither hurts the animals nor disturbs them.
Your animal's location is updated daily. The displayed location is delayed by 7 days — this protects the animals from poachers.
Yes, completely free and permanently usable — no subscription or additional fees.
No. Once your animal is activated, it remains permanently in your profile — including access to all tracking data.
